Certain brides know exactly what they want. They’ve seen a few things, developed their tastes, and are not caught up in the hoopla put out by the latest edition of bridal magazines. Nicole was that kind of bride. Photography by Jessika Feltz Photography.
She and Max had known each other for years, even struck up a quite a friendship, until one day a co-worker decided he couldn’t just sit back and went about “setting up” the pair (more on that later).
Having had years to get to know each each other, Max and Nicole were able to create a vision of an intimate affair that brought together their closest family and friends and reflected their mutual love of travel.
Max and Nicole’s downtown Indianapolis wedding was held in the location of the former LS Ayers Tea Room, which was a high society dining location for Indianapolis’s elite many years ago. Their traditional Jewish ceremony was held in one section of the tea room with their reception held in another section.
It was important to Max and Nicole to incorporate Judaism and Jewish traditions throughout their wedding day. As an interfaith couple, Max and Nicole felt it was equally as important for the Rabbi to explain the meanings behind the proceedings, so all guests could understand and appreciate the traditions.
30 South Meridian has a beautiful rooftop garden, and they were fortunate enough to be able to venture up to the roof for portraits after the ceremony, showing off some of the great views of their wonderful city.
The couple met while Nicole was working at a doctor’s office and Max was working as a pharmaceutical representative. This doctor saw Max and Nicole talking one day and it suddenly became his mission to set them up on a date; he thought they were perfect for each other, and they were!
Max and Nicole met through their work and learned that they shared a love of travel, so their reception decor featured elegant nods to their favorite places, complete with silver chop sticks (perfect for the late night snack in chinese to go containers!)
The Hora and chair lift was one of the most memorable parts of the reception.
Mazel Tov to Max and Nicole!
