If you were invited to a Beverly Hills wedding, you might develop certain expectations; designer-to-the-stars personae coordinating every detail, lavish decor, an over-the-top experience all around. You wouldn’t exactly be wrong. But what if the elegance was more understated than over-the-top, and what if the ring bearer pillow was a… sock puppet?? Photography by Bound By.Jennifer and David did Beverly Hills chic their way for their October 2012 Jewish wedding. Yes, the estate was decorated by the Obama White House interior decorator, but the details were all fun and personal, and that estate was the groom’s sister’s house.
She just happened to have the perfect pool house exterior for the ceremony site – a recent feature in Veranda Magazine. She even lent the bride her Neil Lane emerald ring. A bride’s gotta have something borrowed, right?
The bride and groom exchange vows under the huppah. The couple has an inside joke with a traveling sock puppet they photograph everywhere they go – the sock puppet was used as the ring bearer pillow, and for fun, ridiculous party shots.
Jewish Wedding Details – Green, Ivory & Yellow
The decor and flowers were soft and neutral in green and ivory, accented by pops of bright yellow and featuring two little birds. This simple and modern design carried through the cake and the stationery.
The sweetheart table gives the bride and groom a moment alone.
