Jewish Interfaith Wedding at The Sands at Atlantic Beach NY

Two years after graduating from the University of Rhode Island together, Johanna and Bryan re-connected in New York. Recently, they married in a romantically whimsical Jewish interfaith ceremony at The Sands at Atlantic Beach, a beautiful beachfront property in Long Island, NY.  Photography by: Ron Soliman Photojournalism

Johanna also used her footwear to get creative with her ‘something blue’, inserting a blue ‘I Do’ on the bottom of her heels!

Beach Wedding Ceremony – Chuppah

A cherry blossom chuppah added a whimsical tone to their wedding space. Even the bridesmaids’ floral arrangements were kept simple, with white rose buckets and small fuchsia flowers.

The groomsmen had no problem letting loose for pictures on the sand, while the bridal party’s fuchsia gowns truly popped against the ocean background.

Tree KetubahAs an interfaith wedding, the couple each chose to include religious traditions that meant the most to them; a ketubah was signed, a Priest and Rabbi co-officiated, they held a sand ceremony and stomped the glass, and an excerpt from the Corinthians was read. But the Hava Nagilia was Johanna’s favorite memory, explaining the band spontaneously extended the song when they saw how much fun all the guests were having with it.
