Genevieve Tompkins and Kyle Lyons, lovers of the beach and The Princess Bride, melded their love for those two things, and each other, and got married on the beautiful beaches of South Carolina! Genevieve’s mom helped the couple’s vision come to life with her crafty DIY skills! Shandi Wallace Photography captured the whole day on film, lucky for us!
The ceremony took place on the beach, under a simple and whimsical white organza canopy. White folding chairs were set for guests, and the sand and ocean left little more to be set up! The bridal party wore coral colored dresses, and the groomsmen wore coordinating ties to add a pop of color.
The setting sun provided the most amazing natural light for some photographs of the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Genevieve’s ladies (and man!) posed with the sweetest parasols that were both fun and functional.
The women of the wedding carried bouquets of intricate fabric roses in different shades of mossy green hues. Genevieve’s bridal bouquet included some real blush pink roses as well. The flowers were tied and featured a small charm – the bridesmaids charms contained pictures of each of them with Genevieve, while the bride herself donned a photo of Kyle!
For dessert, Genevieve and Kyle opted for the best of both worlds, choosing both cupcakes and cake! Cupcakes were placed on a five tiered display with the topper being an actual, full sized cake decorated with fondant coral! Pinwheels in the colors of the day provided a beautiful backdrop.
