To help inspire you, we’ve asked one of our experts to share some photos and ideas of how to incorporate a party theme into a wedding or mitzvah – even changing the atmosphere of the venue space.
The Catering & Special Events team at Twenty Four Fifth show how the glamourous and elegant ballroom pictured above can also be an amazing venue to host mitzvahs and more casual trendy affairs. Can you imagine this room with a sports theme, a retro themed party or even set up with a Green Recycled theme? No need – we’ve got the pictures!
Twenty Four Fifth was originally constructed in the 1920’s as The Fifth Avenue Hotel. Restored by The Glaziers and architect David Rockwell, Twenty Four Fifth features etched glass screens in the magnificent foyer, windows offering a view of Fifth Avenue, a circular granite dance floor and many turn-of-the-last century architectural details. All in all, creating a unique and magnificent setting for a gala event and black tie wedding or affair.
Under the direction of Alexis Fine and her catering team, Twenty Four Fifth is also a memorable venue for hosting mitzvahs, showers and more!
Attentive to the right lighting options, decor and color palettes, Alexis’ team transforms the ballroom into a Lounge Setting or Supper Club. The foyer decor is accented with tropical greens and colorful drinks! A perfect setting for a trendy, eclectic or more casual event!
Green Themes are huge and Alexis has imaginatively incorporated The Green (Recycle) Theme into the neutral ballroom setting. Now the space abounds with Color and Creativity! Brightly designed tissue flowers rise above colored markers and a small chalkboard is used as a Table Marker. The base of the clear glass centerpiece bowl holds multi-colored rubberbands and more tissue flowers. It is elevated by sitting on slanted stacks of colored paper. A bright purple table linen adds the final splash of color. The ballroom is now looking youthful and fun.
Retro Anyone?? Who doesn’t love the 50’s?? Servers, dressed up in the Retro Party Theme, become part of the setting & add to the atmosphere!
Alexis’ catering team whips up the most amazing theme cakes… Sports, Favorite Stories, Rock & Roll, Star Wars, Winter…They love a good challenge!
Tennis anyone? No detail is too small. Notice the tennis balls around the cake too
