Kimberly and Joshua’s traditional Jewish wedding took place October 30, 2011, at Heska Amuna Synagogue in Knoxville, Tennessee. The season and the beautiful red, orange and yellow tones of the natural Autumn setting inspired the fall themed décor and accents.
Their wedding included Josh’s Tisch and Kim’s Kabbalat Panim, the Jewish tradition that treats the bride and groom as king and queen for their wedding day. Then, the Kim sent the groom’s ring with her sister as her kinyan. Josh and the men in the tisch then traveled to social hall, where he veiled the bride and then there was the blessing of the parents.

Kim and Josh got married under the same chuppah that the groom’s parents got married under 40 years ago! Their wedding was held early on a Sunday morning, and Josh and Kim invited the Sunday School students to attend the ceremony.
