Some parties are just for fun, but some special events are meant to be more than that. Seeing a young man or woman come of age at her bat mitzvah is a very special time of growth and change. Bat & bar mitzvahs can reflect on many things; developing character, growing in faith, and finding a direction in life. Olivia’s bat mitzvah was a proud moment for all her loved ones and a wonderful celebration at the same time. Photography by Casey Fatchett Photography.
Music Theme Bat Mitzvah
Olivia is one determined young woman who’s set her sights on one goal – to become a professional singer. She’s been working towards it and got to share her talent as part of the celebration, performing for all her family and guests. Her mother is her biggest fan. “Olivia has wanted to be a singer her entire life and is following in that path. She is a very determined and confident girl so we do believe she will achieve her dream.”
In addition, she truly embraced the spirit of her mitzvah project and is committed to helping to raise 101 orphans in Camaroon, Africa. Her mother says:
“Olivia spoke at her Bat Mitzvah about the plight of these kids and the people of the village. She asked everyone to donate items they no longer need to Africa. I spoke about this mitzvah project as well and encouraged everyone at the event to donate, including the vendors and staff. Since the Bat Mitzvah, we have been getting ongoing donations from the guests at the party as well as the staff. Olivia is so touched that this has had such a profound effect on our guests and continues to be committed to helping these people and changing their lives.”
Pink Bat Mitzvah Centerpieces & Decor
Pink and ivory flowers made up both high and low centerpieces, surrounded by tall and sleek candleholders with pink votives.
The family decided to host Olivia’s bat mitzvah at their home, with catering by Abigail Kirsch (view Abigail Kirsch Catering Relationships on mazelmoments). The theme of the event was Music and the bat mitzvah slogan was “Liv it Up!”. Olivia’s mother said one of the best things she did was to hire a planner. “Danielle Bobish of Curtain Up Events helped us plan the event, coordinated everything and helped relieve our stress. She went above and beyond and made Olivia’s day very special. At first I didn’t think I needed a party planner and thought I could do it all on my own, but the truth is, I couldn’t have. There is so much to do to plan a spectacular event and Danielle was on top of everything.”
Bat MItzvah Logo & Slogan
Olivia’s passion for music was reflected in every aspect of the event. They had music tattoos, party favors (music note keychains, music note playing cards, etc.), cake, all with the music theme. There was even a Lady Gaga impersonator.
Bat Mitzvah Cake & Dessert Bar
Love is in the details, and Olivia’s mother Rena created all the sweet treats in the “sweet shop”.
Of, course there was Olivia’s performance. Olivia’s entrance video was a ‘Behind The Music – VH1′ 10 minute clip. The video was about Olivia being a queen diva having made it big in the music industry. The video ended with Olivia leaving to perform at her ‘concert’ and that is when she entered the tent at her Bat Mitzvah, walked to the stage and performed.
Mazel Tov to Olivia and her family and thank you for sharing your special day with us! Much thanks to Casey Fatchett of Casey Fatchett Photography for sharing these amazing event photos.
