Pink is the official color of girls. It just is. Some girls are born knowing they want a Pink Wedding or Bat Mitzvah. Pink done right is elegant, chic, and does not have to be at all overly girly. Josh & Company Floral and Decor Specialists of Brooklyn, NY provides some Pink’spiration from recent events that are all done up in every shade from mod fuchsia to baby pink to classic rose.
If your wedding or bat/bar mitzvah DJ doesn’t rock, your party is as good as dead. So long as he or she keeps the crowd jumping, it almost doesn’t matter what the DJ booth looks like. Almost. DJ’s nowadays have way more to work with than a couple of turntables.
A great DJ understands that he’s there to do more than just entertain, he’s there to perform. READ MORE ......→
Sometimes a gorgeous venue provides all the inspiration you need for the perfect Jewish wedding. The 1840s Ballroom is definitely that! But Melissa Zimmerman & Joe Pariser were also inspired by purple and yellow for their wedding on March 17, 2012 in Baltimore, Maryland. The gorgeous details were captured by Sten Hartman from New Chapters Photography.
I can’t believe that today marks two years since our amazing wedding day! I can still remember the days of getting excited to see Jeff’s name on my caller id. Never in a million years did I think I would meet my future husband at a random weeknight happy hour! It seems like just yesterday that he moved all his junk…I mean very important stuff…into my…I mean our… apartment. One year later he proposed with a wonderful surprise weekend at the Gansevoort!
Jeff & I knew we wanted to get married in a synagogue, and Temple Beth-El of Great Neck (Cosmopolitan Caterers) was perfect for us. Family and friends flew in from as far as Israel and France to be with us on our special day. It was amazing to share the experience with so many people we love. We stayed nearby at the Long Island Marriott in Uniondale, where we also had the wedding after-party and post-after-party brunch. READ MORE ......→

We were completely blown away by the beautiful Alexa and her bat mitzvah photos from Lasting Memories Photography. This awesome bat mitzvah girl is a true sweetheart filled with joy and love. When she was born her dad nicknamed her “Yumminess” because of how sweet and yummy she was, so the theme for the party was “Alexa’s Sweet Shoppe”. Candy was everywhere at the reception and even the ceremony, where soft candy was thrown at Alexa after she read her Torah portion, to symbolize a sweet life.
Alexa’s Bat Mitzvah was April 21, 2012. The ceremony was at The Jewish Center in Princeton, NJ, and the reception was at the Westin also in Princeton. They had a photoshoot a few months before to get portraits for the sign in board and guest book. READ MORE ......→
It’s not your grandmother’s kosher wedding cake with white butter crème icing and a plastic bride and groom on top. Today’s wedding and bat & bar mitzvah cakes are works of art and as much a part of the décor as the table centerpieces. If you’re going to invest in a glam cake, it only makes sense to place it in a glam setting. A table draped in pretty linen is just the beginning of setting the stage for the cake cutting.
The right backdrop will make your wedding or bat/bar mitzvah cake table and dessert buffet a focal point in the room.
This funky bar mitzvah was held on June 17th on the top floor of a beautiful London restaurant with stunning views of the Camden district. There were about 150 people in attendance and the day was filled with fun, laughter, magic tricks and dancing! And of course the finest Asian cuisine!
