{Yes You Can} Donate Your Leftover Food!

Anyone who has been to a Jewish wedding, bat or bar mitzvah, or kosher event knows that there is usually WAY too much food!  A common questions is – What do we with all the leftovers?!?

Donating Leftovers to Food Banks

Many venues, caterers, and hosts are under the MISCONCEPTION that donating uneaten food would incur civil and possibly criminal liability should the food spoil before people eat it. However, this is not the case. READ MORE ......

Bat Mitzvah – Alexa’s Sweet Shoppe & Candy Bar

Back to Bar & Bat Themes

We were completely blown away by the beautiful Alexa and her bat mitzvah photos from Lasting Memories Photography. This awesome bat mitzvah girl is a true sweetheart filled with joy and love. When she was born her dad nicknamed her “Yumminess” because of how sweet and yummy she was, so the theme for the party was “Alexa’s Sweet Shoppe”. Candy was everywhere at the reception and even the ceremony, where soft candy was thrown at Alexa after she read her Torah portion, to symbolize a sweet life.

Bat Mitzvah Girl Candy Sweet Theme

Alexa’s Bat Mitzvah was April 21, 2012. The ceremony was at The Jewish Center in Princeton, NJ, and the reception was at the Westin also in Princeton. They had a photoshoot a few months before to get portraits for the sign in board and guest book. READ MORE ......

Backdrops Put Your Wedding & Mitzvah Cake at Center Stage

It’s not your grandmother’s kosher wedding cake with white butter crème icing and a plastic bride and groom on top.  Today’s wedding and bat & bar mitzvah cakes are works of art and as much a part of the décor as the table centerpieces.  If you’re going to invest in a glam cake, it only makes sense to place it in a glam setting.  A table draped in pretty linen is just the beginning of setting the stage for the cake cutting.

The right backdrop will make your wedding or bat/bar mitzvah cake table and dessert buffet a focal point in the room.
