Tip #1 – This may seem obvious, but make sure the company you hire has an expertise in video! Experience and focus on filming and production will let you know that quality will be at the forefront.

18 is a spiritual number in the Jewish culture. Gifts are often given in multiples of 18, symbolizing the gift of life and good luck. In 2013, the number 18 became even more significant for my husband Jeff and me, representing the unforgettable day our daughter Liya was born, on October 18.
To make Liya’s first birthday celebration even more special and meaningful, we decided to combine her party with her Jewish baby naming ceremony. Being the superstitious Jew that I am, we never had a baby shower, so this event was a way to FINALLY celebrate our beautiful baby girl with all of our loved ones. Child or adult – who doesn’t love candy? When we came across Esprit Events’ fun and creative dessert idea – candy sushi – served at a bat mitzvah, we couldn’t wait to share this innovative idea with our kid and adult fans.

Planning a Bar Mitzvah that’s traditional as well as new and exciting is no easy task. Will’s family was able to pull it off with class and style by splitting up the festivities! Will became a Bar Mitzvah with a private Havdallah service at NYC’s Ansche Chesed Synagogue, followed by a lovely dinner for all the guests. Candyland isn’t just a game for kids! Molly celebrated her Bat Mitzvah at the Westminster Hotel in New Jersey with a creative spin on the iconic board game. Guests joined in her celebration with an escape to Mollyland! Thank you to Chris Jorda Photography for capturing it all for us.
The bat mitzvah weekend included Holocaust Remembrance Day, which was significant since Molly was born on that day in 2001, and her grandmother is a Holocaust survivor. A donation was made to Self Help NY, an organization dedicated to supporting those who suffered in the Holocaust.
According to mom Karen, “the weekend had the balance of a spiritual and religious event with the combination of family and friends. Every person in the room was celebrated as having touched Molly in their own unique way.”
Bar Mitzvah boy Jake is an Orlando Magic and fantasy sports league fanatic. He and his family combined both of those loves to create an amazingly personal and memorable Bar Mitzvah, and A Magic Moment Photography captured it all on film!
