Whether you’re a ski or snowboard aficionado, hosting an affair in the winter, or simply love the cold weather, a winter-themed party is a great way to incorporate your love into your big day, no matter if it’s a bar or bat mitzvah, Sweet 16, wedding or any kind of event! Nature-lover Jenna celebrated her Bat Mitzvah in New Jersey, with a lovely ceremony and Rainforest themed party. For the “green theme,” green was a natural color choice, with pops of purple defining the event space. Potted plants and floral centerpieces could be planted after the event – a perfect eco-friendly choice! Photography by Art + Life Photography.
Lily Israel recently celebrated becoming a Bat Mitzvah in her hometown of Orlando Florida, and celebrated with a stunning affair. The theme was All Things Lily, using light pastel colors with pops of bright pink, and patterns that were feminine and fun. Bliss Events by Laurie Anne Portella did an amazing job planning and executing the event, and Scott Watt Photography captured the whole day for us to “ooh and ahh” over this beautiful occasion!
When it comes to planning a bar/bat mitzvah or party, every detail is an opportunity to showcase your child’s unique personality. Putting a fresh spin on the traditional sign-in board is a great way to set the tone for the reception as soon as guests walk in. We’re excited to share two unique options – one from a beloved vendor, and one from an equally beloved Mitzvah Mom. You can also check out 15 More Ideas for Sign-In Boards.
Idea 1 – Sign-In Pillows
The Pieced Palette offers an amazing alternative to sign-in boards – the Sign-in Floor Pillow! Provide any image, such as your invitation or logo, and they will print it onto fabric. This is mounted on an easel at the party for guests to sign. After the event, the signed fabric is made into a lounging floor pillow – a wonderful (and useable!) keepsake!

Rachel’s bat mitzvah ceremony went beautifully, as she read her prayers with ease and poise in front of over 200 guests! Rachel’s family, including older siblings David and Jaime, took part in the ceremony as well. When the ceremony was over, the guests made their way to The Grove, a stunning venue to begin with, outfitted in shades of white and off-white accented with black.
