Activities have been a big trend during Bar & Bat Mitzvah and teen parties as they provide entertainment beyond the standard eating, drinking and dancing. Whether they take place during the cocktail hour or actual reception, a bonus of many of these activity stations is a tangible take-away that act as a favor for guests to remember the event.
In 2013, we as a Jewish people experienced a true rarity as Thanksgiving and Hanukkah coincided. Our featured Bat Mitzvah girl Lyndsey also celebrated her Bat Mitzvah that same weekend, dubbing it Thanksgivukkah Mitzvah weekend! Lyndsey has many hobbies, including baking, and when it came time to pick a Bat Mitzvah theme, she knew cupcakes would be it.
